The Vineyards
Indulge in Shades wines, born from hand-picked Riesling grapes from Germany's historic Mosel Region. The vineyards cascade down steep slops which overlook the Mosel River, cultivating grapes in the region's famous slate soil to create a unique minerality.
With a temperate climate and a lengthy growing season, our Riesling grapes ripen slowly, ensuring balanced acidity and optimal flavor. After hand-harvesting, our grapes are gently pressed and fermented to preserve their delicate fruitiness.

The Wines
Shades of Blue
From the renowned region of Mosel, Germany, this semi-dry Riesling balances ripe fruit notes with a crisp citrus finish. Serve chilled for optimal enjoyment.

The growing season in the Mosel is long, with harvest generally taking place into October, which ensures that the Riesling grapes reach optimal ripeness and maintain their characteristic juicy acidity. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and the juice is slowly fermented in temperature-controlled tanks, preserving the delicate fruit. Following fermentation the wines are kept in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

Harvest takes place in late fall, ensuring the grapes have a long time to reach optimal ripeness. After harvest, the Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes are fermented separely in temperature controlled tanks, preserving the delicate fruit. Following fermentation this unique pairing of wines is expertly blended, balancing perectly the intense fruit notes of the Riesling and the delicate color and acidity of the Pinot Noir.

This Riesling-based Rosé is a beautiful shade of ballet slipper pink with a bouquet of fragrant red berries, including raspberries and strawberries, and a subtle hint of floral notes. On the palate, the wine is delicately sweet and with flavors of stone fruit, that finishes with a mineral note. The wine has a bright acidity that balances the fruitiness and adds a long, refreshing finish.
